About Entropie

Entropie is a small slow fashion brand that is trying to be radically sustainable. Almost nothing new gets produced for Entropie garments - for the most part they consist out of used and pre-loved textiles and materials, including thread, zippers and buttons. All carefully curated and selected on quality, comfort and looks, of course. When a material is newly produced, like the batting for some quilted garments, it is at the very least organic and of natural origin. The plantmaterial used to dye some of the textiles is mostly homegrown and is always grown or foraged with the utmost care and respect for the environment.

About me

Entropie is owned by me, Inger, a Dutch native who moved to Sweden in 2020 to mould my longtime love for sewing, textiles and textile crafts into a new career. After my studies in Stockholm I started Entropie. At the moment I am lovingly creating all Entropie items myself, in my home studio located in a small Swedish village.

Years of working in journalism and environmental politics have convinced me that for me, the only viable way to work in fashion is to make something out of what already exists. I love to discover beauty and functionality in materials that have little to no value in our society because, for example, they are old, stained or only available in very small quantities. With Entropie I strive to have the smallest possible negative impact on our earth and to only create garments that can survive the test of time, by using materials that have already proved they can do just that.

All this inherently means that Entropie will always be small. But also unique, made with love and care for textiles and for the world around us.

Hope you will love it as much as I do!
